talk to me about making baby food

For your kiddos first food, how much milk/water did you add? i have a baby beabacook and the amount sugggested seems to thick for me.

  • When I puree carrots and cauliflower for my LO, I only end up needing to add about a teaspoon of water or sometimes even less.  Really I just recommend modifying the recipe until LO happily eats it.  We are also parenting in a baby lead way.

  • Like the others said, just add it until it's to where she will eat it.  The first few times I just kept adding water.  Now I don't add much at all.  Just enough to get it going.  However, as of this week, he's now almost refusing purees so I guess I'm going with more pieces (eek!).  Not sure what I'll do with all the pureed food in the freezer.
