Late last night I was reading posts on the board on my ipad and so desperately wanted to contribute to the conversation. But every time I tried to post, it would only let me type on the subject line and when I tapped on the message box, my typing pad would disappear?!
I am completely technology illiterate and gave up in frustration. Anyone experience this and know what I was doing wrong? Or, is there some tech board or somewhere I can find out how to fix this?
Feel free to berate me for my stupidity. (I also have yet to figure out how to do my siggy pic or to get my "insert smiley" box to actually show me any emoticon options. (I'm usually sneaking on TB from work and it's not exactly something I can ask a coworker to help with)
Re: stupid ipad question
Not a stupid question at all! I do all of my Internet browsing and reading on my iPad as well, and I, too, frequently want to contribute to a post, only to find that I cannot. I wish I had some answers for you, but I thought it would be comforting to know that you're not alone.
I am able to access this board and contribute on my iPhone, though, so maybe that might help you?

I bump from my kindle but hopefully this works for you as well - sounds like the same problem.
At the top of the messagebox in the toolbar click "HTML" - it will bring up the HTML Source Editor & type away!
The "word wrap" checkbox is helpful when typing more than a quick congrats or good luck.
Also if you want paragraphs you need to use HTML paragraph tags "
" at the start of a paragraph "
" at the end of a paragraph - minus the quotation marks! HTH!!!Thanks Ladies, much appreciated.
I will double check that my ipad is updated (probably not) and will look at the kindle configuration tip next time as well if I'm still having problems.
