Baby wash

LO has dry skin, and it is now on his forehead and by his hair line. Does anyone have any suggestions for a moisturizing baby soap?

Re: Baby wash

  • not sure what shampoo or soap you're using, but DD1 had really sensitive skin and we found that J&J all over soap (the shampoo and body wash in one) really dried her scalp out.  We switched to the shampoo and that helped out a lot.  Eventually we had to switch regular soap too, and went to cetafill.  Now she uses aveno sensitive baby or something like that.  DD2 is still using the all over, but eventually we'll have both girls using the same thing.

  • We use BabyGanics and have had zero problems.

  • I would watch to see if it might turn into cradle cap. There is something you can put on her head if it is that.
  • breastmilk works wonders on dry skin as well!!

  • How old is your baby?  It could be normal sloughing of skin.  I mentioned it to his pedi the last time we were there and she said it's normal and that I didn't need to do anything special-lotion, soap etc.

this. It's totally normal with their fresh baby skin. I also agree with using BM on dry skin. I also like to use coconut oil.
