Just wanted to tell someone!!! :)

Hi Just felt like telling someone, since its seems that when people get new friends their old friends arent that important anymore, but oh well. I had my first ultrasound yesterday and it was amazing, me and DH got to here the heartbeat for the first time, it was 184. Couldn't believe that I am only about 9 weeks and it already looks like a baby. haha. but I do have a quick question, when am I supposed to find out exactly how far along I am and when I am due, was I supposed to ask the ultrasound tech or at my first appointment which is on the 20th.

Congrats! In some places, the tech can't tell you much so your doc should be able to fill you in on your appointment.

They told me how big the baby was measuring at my ultrasound last week. Since I was measuring 2 days ahead, and within the margin of error, they kept my EDD based on my LMP. If you look on your ultrasound, it probably will say the measurements on the bottom as well as EDD based on those measurements.

Congrats! Sounds like it was a great appointment.

Did they not measure yesterday during the u/s? If not I'm not sure, because that's what my first u/s was for; confirmation & dating.

they told me one date at my first ultrasound and then when I went back in at 10 weeks she measured again and said we are going to officially go by that measurement since it's more accurate...so waiting till the next one could give you a more accurate date to go by!
