My bf's mom recommended I add a sensitive formula to a bottle once or twice a day to help with Jovanni's stomach issues. He has been crying after every feeding. And spits up 20-30 minutes after eating, every time! I burp him every two minutes, keep him upright, and give him gas drops when he seems gassy. Nothing is helping. I am lactose intolerant so I only have lactose free milk maybe twice a week, I haven't had coffee, and have been trying to eat bland meals. When he spits up he fusses/cries but doesnt arch his back or tense up too much. I know spit up is normal, but every time? So long after eating? I dont know what else to try! It is causing us both loss of sleep and I'm getting so frustrated. Would the formula help? It says it is for spit up and sensitive stomachs.
Any other advice is appreciated! TIA!
Re: Adding formula?
This reminds me of two different situations. First my niece who had reflux, and it didn't stop until she started to eat baby food (she was fed formula only).
Also when I was a baby I was allergic to my moms breast milk and so when I was six weeks old she switched me to just formula and the spitting up went away (along with the other problems I had like thrush and yeast behind my ears). I only tell you this to see if you have checked to see if she is allergic. Just a thought.
