LO loves to eat and loves to try new things. I make 90% of his food at home and try to keep it fresh and organic. I also give him greek yogurt and the Plum Organics baby food pouches if we are on the go, which he loves. I have, up until this point, tried to steer him away from table food. But lately he has been wanting to try anything and everything he sees me or DH eating. My DH gave him a small bite of the roll he was eating once and since then, its been game on for LO. If he sees me put anything in my mouth, he crawls over to me and tries to climb up and get it. Opens his mouth and looks at me, waiting. If I say no, he starts to cry and throw mini tantrums until I give him a small piece. Last night, DH and I were eating spaghetti on the living room floor (long story) while LO was playing with his toys in front of us. The moment he saw us eating, he crawled over to both of us and climbed and "asked" us for some until DH finally relented. We gave him one bite but he kept coming back for more and more.
LO just turned 8 months. Is table food okay for him now?

My LO is almost 8 months and we've been giving her table foods since she started eating about two months ago. Per our pediatrician, we skipped baby food and have been feeding her soft solids from the start. Granted, when we first started her on it I gave her super super soft solids, but we never did any purees or baby food.
That being said, we eat extremely healthy foods, probably even more so now that we're feeding it to baby as well. I would go for it! Sounds like your LO is definitely ready.
