I am 17 and a half weeks now. I feel like since about week 12 or 13, I have just had a LOT of time with a sore feeling. It's not cramping, it's not pain, it's not debilitating or even bad, it's just THERE. I had an u/s around week 13/14 and everything looked great, so I don't think there's anything wrong. I have my next one coming up on the 12th, so I will mention it to my doctor, but it just seems like kind of par for the course with all the stretching and growing and moving happening in that area. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling this?
Re: Does anyone else feel a lot of general abdominal soreness?
i don't have any in that area, but my uterus is so sore, it's kicking my but. it usually starts in the afternoon and goes on until i go to bed. it gets my worried sometimes, but my OB said this would happen and i don't have any spotting.
i hope i get another ultrasound at my next appointment because i really want to see how big the baby got!
I've been experiencing this for the last few weeks on and off. At 12 weeks, I felt like someone kicked me in the lower ab...I was achy. My midwife said its fine, just rlp. I haven't had any spotting or bleeding, so I just remain calm. I also heard the hb again a week ago, so I know everything is fine. This past week I've been having tons of rlp. If I get out of bed to fast or roll over, it feels like I'm being stabbed. The rlp is starting to moving up past my belly button. LO is growing!

Awesome! What instrument do you play? (My husband and I are both choir directors!)

I have had a lot of soreness in my abdomen too. I just stretch and I feel a little better. Don't know what it is called, but I reach my arms up to the sky and kind of move side to side. Feels so nice!

You all are my heroes! That was EXACTLY what I needed to hear- that there are plenty of other people dealing with it, too. Feeling MUCH better now (well, not the soreness, but psychologically). THANK YOU!!!
Definitely tell your doctor, but it's probably 100% normal.
I have the same thing going and my OB said it was just round ligament pain, which is usually described as sharp pains, but apparently doesn't always feel that way. So no worries; it's all just part of the joys (ha) of pregnancy!
