I know it's been discussed before, but I can't seem to find the thread right now.
I'd like to introduce cow's milk and am wondering how you all have been doing it.
I offer it to him at meal times in a "real" cup with handles and a lid that pushes down when his lips touch it and so far he seems to be doing okay. He is always surprised though when milk gets in his mouth and I don't know if it's because of the taste or because it's cold. He still drinks water at meal times and throughout the day, too. I also still nurse him every 2-3 hours. Currently he takes about 1 oz of cow's milk per day.
Should I try to replace a nursing session with milk? Do I offer it in a bottle then, so he realizes it's a meal? What do you do?
Re: Introducing cow's milk
LOL! I was amazed!
I am tempted to try it in the bottle, too. Our pedi wants us off bottles by 12 months though, so I figured I'd just offer it in a cup right away to avoid the bottle weaning. Hmmm.
