Registry goody bags

I keep hearing about the goody bags that stores give you when you go in to register and I was curious about what would be in them. I did a little Googling and found this video. Thought some of you might like to see it, too. She shows what she got from registering at Target, Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby.

    friend of mine told me to make a "mock registry*" at BrU just for the goody bag they give you.

    *I actually plan on registering at a less expensive place I've found in town

    I never got a goody bag.  They were "out of them" and when I went back they had no record of being out of them, and wouldn't give me a new one.  This was at BRU.

    I've actually been very happy with the goody bags i've recieved both at Babies R Us and BBB. They both sent me 10 dollar gift cards for registering and I've gotten 4 pacifiers and tons of coupons. I also registered at Target and they sent me a 20 gift card as a thank you. The other day I went to Motherhood Maternity and they gave me a goody bag with another paci in it and more coupons just because it was my first time shopping. I'm all for freebies!

    Every time I order something from Motherhood online I get the little goody bag in my package and they also have a $20 giftcard to Shutterfly...which I'm a HUGE fan of. I use them for everything picture/card/invitation related.

    We went to BRU last night actually and got the goodie bag - so disappointing. The only thing in there was a catelog and a diaper. oh boy.

     They also ticked me off last night when we drove to the ony BRU store near us - 40 mins - bc the crib I wanted was in stock there. Only to find out that there were 2 in stock and BRU can't sell one if there are only THREE in stock.

    WTF.

    I ended up ordering the crib on Amazon, no tax, free shipping, and $35 cheaper.

     I think I'll be doing the rest of the registry at Target.

    Yikes.  Our BRU bag has a full-size tube of diaper rash creme, a Carter's long-sleeve onesie, a pacifier, lots of samples, a diaper, some crap I'm forgetting, and the requisite coupons and catalogs.  Score!

    The word you're looking for is SEX.  I promise.  No, it's not gender.  It's sex.  You're welcome.
