Need some help from crafty or decorating ladies.
We bought this dresser this weekend for DD's big girl room:

I'm looking for suggestions on fixing it up. I plan to sand and paint it - either white or red. The room will be a ladybug theme and the walls are bright sky blue. We have a framed mirror hanging on the wall, so we will not be using the attached mirror.
So my question is what to do with the handles and pulls. I'm having trouble picturing what would be best.
It is hard to see from the picture, but there are six drawers. The two on the top have 4 knobs on each drawer, the drawer is kind of curved, and has an indentation in the middle.
The pulls on the bottom drawers have holes that are 2.75" apart...which is annoying since it isn't standard.
Options I'm considering...but feel free to suggest more:
1) Knob centered on each drawer - fill in holes and maybe decorative indentation with wood putty.
2) Keep hardware placement, but replace them.
3) Change to 2 knobs per drawer on top, keep placement of pulls, replace hardware.
Re: Help me fix up this dresser
Paint it red. Use two knobs per drawer. Make all the knobs black. Then it will resemble a lady bug!
A friend just did a dresser in ombr? colors of teal. It turned out really cute. You could do red to pink.
I would love tyo see you use the chalk board black paint on the sides of the dresser; you could write her love notes on it!!
Then the frame of the front white the drawers red... I would use fun flower knobs.. or ladybugs and bees.
PPs had some great ideas. I would definitely fill in the existing holes and change it up!
What a fun project ... I am just itching for a reason to buy a piece of furniture to fix up.
