So around 10pm last night I thought it was a bright idea to carry some empty bins downstairs. They were super light but large and awkward. When I got to the last 3 stairs my foot slide out from under me and I flew down to the ground and landed on my bottom. My leg was hurting so bad so DH ran and got me ice. I didn't want to be moved so I just sat there crying really hard from the pain. We had just put DS down to bed and he heard me crying so he started crying so I sent DH to get him and bring him down so he could see I was ok. Thats when I looked at my leg for the first time. It was swollen and black and blue already so I said lets go to the hospital. I had to be carried to the car and once I got in the car I started to realize I hadn't felt the baby move yet.
I got to the ER and was told to go to L&D and get the baby cleared first. My leg was killing me but I rather be safe than sorry. Baby was monitored for 1 hour then I had an u/s and they wanted to monitor me for another hour but all the sudden I just started having contractions like crazy! Super consistent and super frequent. They gave me a dose of procardia at 1am and it didn't do anything the contractions just kept coming. At 3:20am I got another dose of procardia and then a third 20 min later. Then finally my contractions stopped. I got released at 6:30am and am so glad my mom was able to drive 45 min up to stay with DS because it ended up being a loooooong night. I ended up never getting down to ER to get my leg looked at. It feels more bruised/sprained than anything so thats good.
Anyways thats my update and I just wanted to let everyone know I will be packing my hospital bags now. I thought I had plenty of time still but I definitely wish I would have been more prepared for last night.
