Took my first OTK and got two different results...

I tried it for the first time and did 2 just for the heck of it. One had a clear negative to O, the other did have lines at all. What could this mean? I did one in a little longer than the other, could that make a difference. I know its not supposed to be in for more than 3 seconds but I didn't keep in it past that.

    You really need to stick with the instructions. It's not positive unless yur line is at least as dark as the control line.

    I'm a little confused by your post.  You took two OPKs, one was a clear negative, and the other didn't have a test line, or no test and control line??

    Either way, I'd say you're not surging.  If the one didn't have a test line, I'd say maybe that one just had less dye.  How did the control line look in comparison to the other test's control line?  The darkness of my control lines vary from test to test.

    If the other test didn't have any lines at all, it was a faulty test.

BFP #3 7/4/13 8DPO EDD 3/22/14, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks. started insulin @16 wks.  Our rainbow, born 3/19/14 @ 39wks 6d., we're so in love!

    That's what I was thinking, that it was a faulty test, I just happened to do 2 at the same time just to see. one of them was a clear negative that I was not surging. I was just wondering why this happens. I thought maybe I dipped it in the cup for too long.

    Maybe. Or did you dip it above the max line? That's the only way I've screwed up a test.

    I wouldn't think about it too much. Better luck next time.
