How many of you delivered before 40 weeks with your first child?

I'm a soon to be first time mom. Getting very anxious for my little guy's arrival! It seems from what I hear that most first time pregnancys go to 40 plus weeks, so I was just curious how many of you out there went into labor (naturally) before 40 weeks?

I did. But, I was 39w3d (arugably, 39w5d). So, nothing I'd consider "early."

I delivered my first at 37wk5d, my second at exactly 38wk and my third at 37wk4d. My kids just like to come early I guess.

I went into labor at exactly 37 weeks with my first DS and 38 weeks with my second DS. I'm hoping my third DS will come around 38 weeks too.

39w1d with Ds. I'm trying to prepare myself to go "over due" with this baby bc I will not induce until 42w and that's 3 weeks of waiting!

DS was born at 39w2d, my water broke at 39w1d. I know that to be exact because I was charting and knew the exact ovulation/conception date.

My water broke at exactly 37 weeks. I was a bit shocked as I had no BH or any indication that labor would be starting.

With my first DS, my water broke at exactly 38 weeks. I had no indications that labor was near whatsoever.

With my second DS, I went into labor 2 days after my due date.

I'm a FTM and I want her to come out when she's ready... but I hope she's ready at about 38w4d. DH is only going to be able to take 2 days off work but he has a special schedule around Christmas that means he almost doesn't have to go to work so it would be nice to have him around in her first week. Our families live states away so I'm not expecting anyone to be here right after she's born.

That being said I'm prepared to go to 42w if she's healthy.

I was 37w5d. I woke up at 5:09 to pee, lost my MP, contractions started IMMEDIATELY (not common), and sometime between then and later that morning my water broke (not sure when exactly because it was just a very small trickle). He was born almost 18 hours later (but the first 8 or so were EASY, 2-3 were bad and then I got the epidural).

I did. First felt contractions late in the evening at 39w4d, and DS was born the next day at 39w5d. My cousin was TWO weeks overdue with her first, so I was expecting something similar but nope.

DS 1 was born at 37wk1d. DS 2 was born 37wk2d. I will be 37wks this Friday so I am very curious if this baby will wait until then, come later, or want to make an earlier appearance.

I would love to know how many STM who went early the first time had their second babies early as well.

My DD came at 36 weeks. My water broke at 35w6days on its own. She was perfectly healthy and we left the hospital the next day. And all my dates were on spot....guess she was just done cooking.

Im also hoping this one comes early. As long as the baby is perfectly healthy, being pregnant a few weeks less is always nice!

DS was born at 8:53AM on his due date so not early, he was right on time!

I went into active labor at 7pm on DS's EDD... but he wasn't born until 1:09am the next day... so 40w1d.

I woke up in labor at 1:30am the morning after DD1's EDD, and she was born at 3:56am... again, the day after her EDD... so 40w1d again.

With DS, I had had a few contractions all day the day of my EDD, and DH and I walked around the block... we barely made it halfway when I could hardly walk through the contractions. We went home, I took a shower, and we left for the hospital around 9pm.

With DD1, we walked and walked, and DH just got frustrated that I wasn't getting anything more than a random contraction. I remember jumping on my bed on her EDD, too... I don't think that "helped," but I did go into labor that night.

I started prodromal labor at 37w on the dot with DD and had her the afternoon of 37w4d. (I was charting so it is accurate!) This one seems to be comfier than she was
