We liked proraps, rumparooz, bummis super lites, super whisper wraps, thirties sized covers, and swaddlebees capri. We hated thirties duo wraps and weehuggers.
Thirsties all the way! I hated all but my Thirsties XS for DD in the beginning. Then switched to Thirsties Duo covers once she grew out of them. Sticking with it for this baby.
Bummis Super Brites and Super Whisper Wraps were my favorite for when he was really small. I also liked Thirsties X-small and Thirsties Duo. The Thirsties Duo was my favorite when he got beyond like 9 pounds because it fits longer and is adjustable for bigger sized prefolds.
A friend of mine uses Best Bottom diapers (just the covers, not the inserts) over prefolds and loves them. They are one sized and fit her premie daughter from birth on. I will buy some of those for my next LO.

Very happy with imagine nickisdiaper brand Indian cotton prefold don't get newborn but get the infant.., the infant fit my 5 lb baby fine and the imagine newborn covers. I have one thirties duo cover and the imagine covers work just as well for less money
Oh I have one best bottom cover and it does fit my daughter yet. She was premie and was 5 lbs 1 ounce when she came home. She is now 7 lbs and still don't fit
We've had good luck with the Bummis Super Snap and the Whisper Wrap, Prowrap, and Thirsties XS. Now that he's a little bigger, Thirsties Duo and the very full cut Litewrap have worked really well.
I know it is recommended to buy a few different diapers since all babies are different. I don't have money to throw away on trial and error. Should I buy two of a few different brands (3?) and use them anyway, even if they don't work well? I can't even guess at what our baby's legs are going to look like. My family has super chubby legs and H's are pretty skinny at first.
Are there some that work well for different legs? I think I should buy some of each.
