Mei Tai Brand Recommendation

So we've decided on a mei tai so we can do a back carry with our 10 month old (22lbs), but I've found LOTS of brands. Some are independent and have their own website while some are found on Amazon. I'm looking for a cloth one not a structured one but I'm completely unsure as to what to buy.

Can anyone recommend theirs and/or provide a link to recommended ones?

If I were buying a MT for a 10 month old who was 22 pounds, I'd go for a larger body MT (so something about 16-17 inches wide and 16-17 inches tall. The Kozy is the easiest to find large body MT and cheapest. It doesn't have a padded waist. Many people prefer a padded waist for a toddler/bigger baby - if you think you might, the buying gets a bit trickier because they are all made by small operations. Buying used on thebabywearer.com FSOT or the Babywearing Swap on FB are the easiest ways to find one. Bamberoo, Beanslings, Dream Carrier, Two Mamas Designs, Obimama...there are tons more and others that are now out of production. I looove my kinderCarry it is the MT version of the famous KinderPack.

I don't think you can get them new, but FSOT has a few for less than 100.

I like my freehand but DD is still pretty petite at 17 lbs.

Kindercarry is the Rolls Royce of MTs, IMO. They have a generous-sized body, thick, padded straps, and a padded waist. They are difficult to get new, but track-downable used. We got ours well used for $90 from a local mama who posted on thebabywearer.com FSOT forum.

I also love Kindercarries but she's not really making them anymore since the Kinderpack took off. You can find them used though. I had one of the last set of Kindercarries she made and that was over a year and a half ago

I adore my Babyhawk. It still looks brand new after lots of use for two years. They have fantastic colors.
