A cousin is having a baby boy. I kind of like the sound of his name...not so much the spelling. What do you think of Lakyn Lane. How else could you spell it? Laken? WDYT

I would think that she picked it for a girl and then found out she was having a boy and decided it still could work.

I have only heard Lakyn on a girl. Spelled Laikyn and this way (Lakyn).

I think with the middle name Lane it is very feminine.

I personally like the name, but not so much for a boy.

I know a couple of girls named Lakyn, but I've never heard it used on a boy . . . I hate the name for either sex, but it does sound very feminine.

Yeah, I get an address feel too. I only know of girls named Laken, but especially with the random Y in there it looks like she is trying to 'feminise' it.

I know of a boy named Luken, which is much more masculine to me.

Laken is a girl's name and it is even more girly spelled "Lakyn". I agree with PPs, Lakyn Lane sounds like a street. I strongly dislike it.

I'm not a big fan especially for a boy. A lot of people take boy names and add a y to "make it more girly" (Karsyn, Ryley,etc).

Lane is okay, but I don't like Lakyn at all. I especially don't like these two names together. Too many L's and a little too unusual for me. I also agree that it has a feminine ring to it.

I definitely thought this was a girl name. I know of 2 Lakens Laken, Laikyn, and Lakin and all girls.
