My little guy is nearing 3months old and we only ever use this one hold with our Moby wrap: https://www.mobywrap.com/instructionpages.aspx?Topic=kangaroowrap . He LOVES being worn and I love wearing him so I just want some assurance that this is a good hold to use. And that I am not crotch dangle-ing!
Also, what are your favorite moby holds? Thanks!
Re: What is this "crotch dangle" that you speak of?
A "crotch dangler" is when a carrier takes the weight of the baby through their crotch/between their legs. Rather than other carriers where the baby is supported through their bottom (like your baby is in your pic)
A crotch dangler is bad for babies spine.

I wore Ro 6-8 hours a day in the Moby until she was 6 months old.
The kangaroo or hug hold in the Moby are both great holds for LOs. Judging from your siggy pic you are doing just great! Enjoy your Moby. When Ro got too heavy for the Moby we switched to the Ergo which I also love.
its great to not have the crotch dangle but one thing i notice in your picture is that the carrier is very loose and the baby is pretty low on your body. the carrier should be pretty snug and you should be able to kiss or almost kiss the top of your babies head. just trying to be helpful! this will also put way less strain on your back!

He does look a little low, but as long as it's comfortable on your back and he's not falling out, he doesn't look uncomfortable this way. Whatever works for both of you. Looks like a good hold! I used the Moby with my son until he was 5 months when we got a Boba. And he's a very tall baby (30" at 5 months). The only reason I switched was not because he was too heavy but because he started reaching backward too much to where I had to keep adjusting the sides. Just a strong and active guy. He wasn't going anywhere in the Boba though. I still love the Moby for little ones. =]
