  OMG my mom and my auntie are both elementary school teachers at the same school so they see a lot of unique names. Now we do come from a tribal reservation so the majority of the population are Native American. I'm ok with the ones that name their children something in our language but the other names are just ridiculous. There's actually a little girl there named Your Majesty!

  What tribe are you from?  I live and teach on the rez.  And, some names are just strange...and, they're not unique to our tribe.  It seems like the parents to my middle schoolers were trying too hard to be creative...both in naming the child and the spelling of his/her name.
