  Any pictures I have posted on here of Gator were taken with a Nikon D40X....except for the ones you can obviously tell were taken with my phone.
  
  I have had it about 4 or 5 years and would like to upgrade soon....but it has been an awesome camera.
  
  I was just laughing with my cousin because she was having pictures taken at Sears for her kids and wanted Gator in a few. Besides my friend snapping some pictures when Gator was five days old, she has never had her pictures taken by a pro. So she thought Sears was the greatest thing in the world. I just always take her pics myself.

  I have a Nikon D7000. LOVE my camera!! It has HD video too, that's a huge bonus for us!
  

  All my pictures are taken with this camera. Including the photoshoot I posted last week. We have only had 1 professional picture session for each child at 3 weeks old. We did it with DD because we didn't have a nice camera. Then we did it with DS so that he didn't feel slighted.

  I have the Nikon D5000 and love it and like Kagl's, it shoots video so we didn't have to buy a separate video camera.  You definitely need to learn to shoot on manual to make it worth it but it's pretty easy.  We learned in a couple weeks and have never had to have professional photos taken which has saved us a ton of $.
