NBR: Pajamas

There is a post on 12-24 about how often you change your kids' pajamas, but it made me think of a convo I had with friends a while back about what we sleep in.  So, what do you wear to bed?  Do you change your PJs every night

I usually wear a tank style short nightgown.  When we have company I have a super soft t-shirt and capri PJ set.  Usually I have three or so in rotation so while it might be something different every night, they only get washed every few wears.

  • I wear a tank top and shorts. I don't change them every night, maybe every other or every third, depending.

If we have company (which we do right now, MIL is here), I will just throw a t-shirt and pants on after I wake up.

  • I do some sort of pants either fleece-y like with a ridiculous pattern or plain yoga pants. T-shirt on top. Long sleeved in the winter.

I change them everyday. But I also usually run in them in the morning and leave them on most of the day on the days I'm home..so I definitely get my wear out of them before washing.

And obviously I don't care about what I look like at home! Whatever. I'm comfy and dressed up for work 3 days out of the week.

  • I shower at night so in my head I am clean.  :-)  I wear the same pajama pants for a week until laundry day.  I wear a new tank top each night though.

LO wears the same pajamas for about a week, unless we skip her bath for whatever reason - then those PJs go into the laundry the following morning and she gets a new pair that night.

  • I wasn't sure what you meant by how often.  DD get's new PJ's every night.  I wear stretchy pants and a tank to bed every night.  I wear a new set every day.  I do not wear underwear to bed either so reusing would make me feel dirty even if I am clean : ) .  The thought never occured to me to wear the same each night for me or DD.

  • I am alone so far... I just sleep in my underwear and I usually shower at night.  So, I would put fresh on after my shower before bed.

I do have pajama clothes, pajama pants and a tank or one of DHs old shirts, I just prefer to not sleep in them.  I put them on when I wake up to wear in-between waking and getting dressed for the day... Or after I get home from work before my shower/bed.

  • My kids also get new pjs every night. I'll go a few days in my romper/pj thing.

Not alone, this is me too.

  • Mason gets new PJs every night (although occasionally he will wear whatever shirt he wore during the day with some comfy PJ pants.) I might wear mine a few times, but sometimes it's just once. I have accumulated quite a few pajama pants/yoga pants/shorts that I will wear to bed with a Tshirt or tank top.
