My dd has a ton of straight, fine, long hair - exactly like mine. It hangs in her eyes, and can't be "styled" out of her face yet.
She hates hats and stretchy headband things - takes about 15 seconds for her to pull them off. (So much for all the baby hats I crocheted.)
I'm scared of barrettes - my friend's daughter had one in and it went missing... we don't know if she ate it or not and it just seems unsafe for her to have a little choking hazard strapped to her head.
I think it is still a little short to put up in a little ponytail, but soon it will be too long to just leave it flopping around.
Do you have a baby with crazy floppy hair? What do you do for it? Any suggestions for my situation? Should I just get over it and put a barrette in her hair?
TIA!

Re: Moms with girls with long hair WDYD?
Either the ties/scrunchies in pony tail or pig tails! These are still cute on little girls even if all their hair doesn't go up in the ties.
This is EXACTLY what I was worried about.
Glad she is okay. Unfortunately, my tender headed DD would probably disown me if I tried to get her in pigtails right now. She's a pillbug when it comes to hair doing time.
Frankly, I am not super great at girly maintenance for myself, so this is all new to me too! But I am afraid she walks around half blind with her floppy, sloppy hair.
I got these from Target:

If they slip out of your daughter's hair, you can put a stripe of glue down the inside of the clip.
