Pittsburgh Bump Club, anyone interested?

Hello, I'm Nicole. I'm just shy of 10 weeks and a first pregnancy timer looking to meet some great ladies who are interested in starting a bump club in the Pittsburgh market. We can meet in the city or the burbs to try out new restaurants, get in some fitness adventures like prenatal yoga, and just get together for some plain old girl and future baby chat. I'd definitely be interested in meeting other moms-to-be in the area! I was looking into some prenatal yoga options in the area as well-- looks like they have classes at schoolhouse yoga and shining light prenatal center.

I'm personally a South Sider, but would be willing to venture outside the city limits for a get together. I was going to plan a prenatal yoga event at the Shining Light center (I think that's the name) in Lawerenceville in the next few weeks for any bumpers that are interested. Let me know and I'll send some details. I'm hoping this board will get more active once we are in the "safe zone" and everyone feels more comfortable.

I think this could be fun! This will be our first pregnancy and none of our friends have any children or are pregnant. I live in the NE 'burbs but work near the city so I am flexible. Using meetup could also gain more traction to find more ladies?

Are most of us having food aversions with m/s? If so, maybe our meetup should be around decaf tea & coffee rather than a food place. I wouldn't want anyone to get sick!

I'd definitely be interested in checking out Shining light in the next few weeks-- just keep me posted on when you were thinking about going. I'm 9 weeks right now so it seems like everyone so far is around the same timeframe.

I live in the Crafton/Robinson area, but I?d be happy to rotate where we meet up to accommodate the different ?burbs. This is our first pregnancy too, and we?re the first out of all of our friends, so I definitely want to make some new mom friends in the area that can actually sympathize with all of the crazy things going on with my body and hormones right now!

I think a coffee/tea meet up with be great?that?s pretty laid back and the food aversion thing is definitely something to consider.

Hi again! It looks like there is a prenatal yoga class at The Yoga Whole in Mt. Lebanon on Monday nights, too. South Hills Power Yoga has a weekend class a few times a month, too. Not sure how many others are south of the city, but that would be another location/time to think about too!

Good idea about setting up an email list--I know there is something through Google, but I'm not sure how that all works--any tech-savvy mamas out there?

This sounds great! I would most definitely be interested. I am just 5 weeks with my first. I am the only one out of my friends to be pregnant and I don't know all that many people in the Pittsburgh area in the first place. So I would love to hang out with other women who are in the same boat! I live in the North Hills but am willing to travel almost anywhere!

Hello Fellow Bumpers. Organizer here, we are up to 10 lovely ladies and have met 2 times so far, once for milkshakes at Burgatory and once at the Shining Light for yoga. Upcoming events we have include a hiking trip and a pottery painting class. I'm an event planner by trade, so I'm very organized, know lots of venues, always find free activities, have great ideas, etc. I'd be more than happy to co-chair this with you Nicole. I'm familiar with Google boards, membership charters, etc.

If you ladies are still meeting and are still open to new moms to be, I would be interested. I am only five weeks pregnant and live in the north hills. I am the first of my friends and first in my family to get pregnant, so meeting others who are pregnant would be amazing.

Organizer here, just checking in...We are up to 22 members now of all stages, 2 members have already had their adorable bambinos. Last week we got together for lunch, a trip to a new baby store in Oakmont and the Oakmont bakery for a treat. Next week we are planning a game night and introducing the baby daddies / hubbies. Members are encouraged to organize events so it doesn't fall on 1 person. We still utilize the private Facebook page so if your still in the baby closet it keeps your secret safe.
