XP from Sept12 BMB...

I made the leap and called my work today to let them know I will not be returning! I was set to return on 11/6, so I technically gave a two weeks notice. I'm beyond excited to start this next chapter and equally as nervous about making it all work financially. I didn't make a ton at my job and if I went back I would have likely just been paying for daycare but I did carry the insurance for myself (and Nola for a month) so we'll be paying for our own insurance now. There's also a potential move to Brooklyn, NY in our future which will be a huge change from where we live in North Carolina now. Anyone else making the transition or were already SAHMs? Anyone live in Brooklyn? I'm starting to brainstorm how to fill our days with stimulation and excitement as she gets older so we're not bumps on a log all day!

ETA: I guess I should give a little information about myself. I've been married for almost 4 years and my daughter was born on 8/21 and her name is Nola Caroline. We currently live in North Carolina but will possibly move to Brooklyn at the beginning of the year!

Your daughter is a pretty girl with a pretty name! I don't know about Brooklyn, but I live in a big city and there are so many fun things to do with kids. She's too little right now, but she's easily entertained.
