Just had my 32 week appt. today and I asked the doctor if I was still measuring a week ahead and she said no... and that this time I was measuring about 6 weeks ahead. She's sending me for a follow-up ultrasound to see if I have high fluid, but I don't know much about this. I'm going in next Friday and then have an appt the following Monday with my OB.
I passed my GD test and have had some borderline blood pressure, but no pre-eclampsia as of now.
What else could cause me to jump in 2 weeks from one week ahead to six weeks ahead? I'm trying to just take it as another chance to see the baby! Can the baby's position cause me to measure big? The doctor did say it felt like she had turned head down. I also am not the tallest at 5'4'' and have been carrying mostly out in front.
Anyone else measuring ahead? What ended up being the cause?
Re: Measuring Big
6 weeks is definitely a little extreme! I measured about 3 weeks ahead with DS, and the cause was just that he was a bigger baby. Not huge (born an ounce under 9 at 39w4d) but bigger than average.
Good luck with the u/s.

For the last 3 appointments my doc has said that I was measuring around 3 weeks ahead. I went for an u/s last Wednesday and baby is just tall. Surprise, surprise, my DH is 6'2, I'm 5'11, and I'm the shortest person on my Dad's side of the family. My doctor moved my due date up, but only by a few days, not 3 weeks like originally thought. She was weighing in at 4.4lbs, which was a little high for where you should typically be last week.
Hopefully your u/s will answer your questions and baby will just be fine!
