Two questions, completely unrelated:
1) When is it "okay" to give DD a pillow in her crib? Do your kids sleep with pillows? I ask because there have been a few nights recently when I've gone in to check on DD and she has one of her blankets rolled up under her head like a pillow. She also just got a pillow pet as a gift, and DH was wondering whether she can have it in her crib.
2) I always buy crunchy peanut butter because that's what I prefer (super crunch, actually). Are the nuts in my peanut butter considered choking hazards for LOs? I know I'm not supposed to give DD whole nuts because they're choking hazards before she can really chew them up, but the nuts in my PB are all chopped up. This feels like a dumb question, but I feel better for asking it.
Thanks!!
Re: pillows? And crunchy peanut butter?
DD1 started using a pillow a few months after switching to a toddler bed - maybe 25 or 26 months old? I would probably be okay putting a small, thin pillow in the crib at 13 months, depending on the child, though.
I wouldn't give crunchy peanut butter at this age because they just aren't chewing well enough yet, but if you are comfortable with the size of the chopped nuts you could give it a try. Just watch her carefully.
