Hello Ladies,
This is my first post. I've replied to several, but never started a post in my life, so here it goes...
I'm a third time Mom, currently 27weeks and some odd days. With my other two babies I had very minor hemorrhoid issues very late in pregnancy and then larger hemorrhoid issues after birth. In both cases they were gone about a week or so after giving birth, so it wasn't a major issue.
Well, they've started already and are more of a problem then with the first 2 pregnancies. I eat super healthy and am not constipated at all and 'go' twice a day. My BMs could not be any softer, so clearly this is not the issue (sorry for the TMI). I think the cause is simply the pressure of the baby pushing.
So now my question... Anyone else dealing with a similar situation? I wouldn't be as concerned if I didn't think it was going to get worse, but I know it will. I've upped my kegels not knowing if that will help the situation.
Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Re: Hemorrhoids!
This post makes me weep for my future, if we have a third kid.
I'm no help! I would just stay aware of them, and let your provider know if things get really painful. I had one removed years ago, and it was a simple out-patient procedure.

ugh...dealt with a thrombosed one after the birth of my second and the pressure of carrying her. so. not. cool. I was like recovering from labor all over again.
I'd recommend getting a sitz bath and sitting your tushy in hot/warm water as needed...this helps the blood flow through the veins and can minimize them. Good luck!
Ugh I haven't dealt with them during pregnancy but after pushing out DD2 I have had an almost constant issue. I'm basically afraid to go the toilet, and I am constantly eating fibre, and drinking water.
I'm going to talk about surgical options with my Dr this week. for those who have had surgery, what procedure did you have and what was recovery like? I've heard horrible things about recovery, but am unsure if that's for the more advanced surgical therapies.
I find mine are much worse if I sit around a lot, and are greatly improved the more active I am.

Thanks no soup. I've done quite a bit of googling, and there's lots of info about general anaesthetic, and horrible recoveries. But a Dr I spoke to ages ago outlined something similar sounding to what you had. So I'm hoping that's all I'll need.
I have one that clots and then eases off after a day or so. Anyway will talk to the Dr and see what they say.
