Re: Hello
:;does quick math::
Sooo, you started TTC at 20???
Don't be snarky. I was told at 16 I'd have trouble and we started as soon as we could in 2006, and I'm 29... are you going to judge me too?
---
to OP - welcome to the board. I hope that whatever drama occurred yesterday can be put behind people and that you can feel comfortable here. Congrats and good luck! Would you mind adding a ticker or an EDD in your siggy so we'll know how far along you are? Thanks

It takes a big person to come back and try to follow the guidelines after that. We told her to post an official intro. When she started TTC is her business and not ours or yours to judge.
OP, Kdg is out of line. Please ignore her. I'm glad you decided to post an intro and stick around.

Thanks for the very warm welcome! I honestly was worried I didn't really deserve one after the uh...drama o.O I'm ridiculously emotional right now for some reason, and coupled with a stereotypical Irish temper I really got carried away. I understand now that it's just not cool to blunder into what are considered private areas of the website without first checking to see how it would come across, especially from a complete stranger. To answer some questions, yes I did start TTC early on - when I was 19 actually, and I married at 20 (just don't tell my Mother that lol). The way it works out it's been closer to 9 years now. 5 months after our wedding I got pregnant and I was super excited, and fairly naive about what to expect. It ended in an ectopic pregnancy that (because I waited too long) resulted in the removal of my right tube. After that we just didn't have any luck and miscarried every time I got pregnant. After the 5 year mark I fell into a really deep depression that just hung like a cloud over everything in my life. I'm really lucky to have such a wonderful and understanding husband who put up with me for all that time. For the other question asked, I'm about 6 weeks along. I've put a little blurb about that down in my siggy
I actually had my HSG levels checked last night like a nervous nellie, and they were still doubling. I have an ultrasound on Monday so I'm really nervous and trying not to get too excited in case it's all going to come crashing down on my head. Easier said than done of course
One super huge question from me is this: Does this board refer to Pregnant after Infertility or Pregnant after IVF? Because I just got plain old lucky and I didn't have any IVF treatment. I'm sorry if I've given the wrong impression here and I just want to make sure I'm not posting in the wrong place again. After I joined thebump I foolishly made a post on Infertility veterans thinking it meant Infertility veterans (as in time in RL) and than sheepishly read the intro afterwards. Didn't mean to invade that area of the board so my apologies ladies.
Even if this is the wrong place for me to post - I have to say I am humbled by your generosity and I feel honored to feel so very welcomed! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ^_^ and I hope we can be friends irregardless.
Preg after Infertility. Many of us have done IVF, some had success after IUI, and some ladies had a surprise BFP not on a medicated cycle. It is probably pretty safe to say that the majority of us have been through treatment of one sort or another. Even though many of us have done IVF or IUI, it is certainly not a requirement to post here! I think you fit this board and see no problem with you posting here...Pregnant after a loss also sounds like a good fit for you, if you want to post there as well. GL with your U/S tomorrow!

at the very bottom of the links on the left hand side there is a bump glossary...if you can't find it there, you can always ask.
