Sleeping In Carseat, Thoughts?

So last night we came home from visiting friends around 10:30.  Sunny was fast asleep when we got home.  I knew that transfering her from carseat to crib would wake her up, but I did it anyway.  Do you ever just let LO sleep in the carseat when you get home during their normal bedtime?  I mean, she has spent 5 hours in there during a toad trip and didn't seem bothered by it, but she usually sleeps 7+ hours at night.  What are your thoughts on this?

    If it's bedtime I take LO out because I'd rather him be in the pnp; but if it's during thr day I don't dare touch him, he hates naps...

    Yup, this has been our procedure too.  She can nap in there during the day, but we have been taking her out for bedtime.

    Early on we were doing this a lot, as we had nothing other than car seat or my arms if we wanted him in our room with us. I ended up stopping because it killed my arm trying to reach down and comfort him in it, but I think one night wouldn't hurt. You could always put the seat in his crib so that at least the monitor can hear him.

    We let DS sleep in his stroller or carseat during the day, but the night is always the crib...from day 1!

    LO will ONLY sleep in her car seat. We get her to sleep in her car seat and then put her car seat in her crib. Not ideal but, otherwise, she only sleeps for 2 hours at a time. In her car seat... 6-8 hours straight. I'm going to begin weaning her off of it next month.

    With naps, yes but not through the night.  As other peeps have said, he gets sweaty in the car seat.
