Does everyone have names picked out for their imaginary babies? I obsessively think about them and my imaginary nursery. If it isn't too painful to share, what are your favorite boy and girl names?
Alice or Georgia after my grandmother and DH's father, respectively. DH doesn't like either of those and we can't agree on a girl's name - we're destined to only have girls.
We have them! We wanted to use Audrey for a girl (my grandmother's name) but my sister beat us to it. We also wanted Chloe, but our good friends are due with a girl in March and are using Chloe:(~
Here is where we stand right now:
Girl- Hannah
Boy- Asher

We haven't settled on a girl's name but if we have a boy, it will be Dean after my father-in-law. If we have two boys (talk about wishful thinking), then the second name will be Nicholas. I love that name.
ha! of course we have names.... but only for boys. dh comes from a very boy-dominant family (there are only like 3 girls in 3 generations and like 20 children among the men in his family). so we have no girls names.
but our favorite boy names are brandon and harrison.
Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation. Because we're fancy like that.
When we first started trying I have names picked out. Kyle for a boy and Sydney for a girl. Well my friend beat me to the punch and both her children have 'my' names... yes both in the same family.
Then I fell in love with the name Alyssa and yep - you guessed it - taken!
So long story short I stopped thinking seriously about names, a few have popped in my head but nothing I am super attached to.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I love picking out names, and honestly DH & I talked names before we even started TTC!!!
Girl - Elena Paige or Livia Bri
Boy - We can't decide... DH likes Connor, but I have a cousin named that. I love Ethaniel, Liam, and Nathan. I'd love to have the middle name of my dad but I think my step dad would be upset... Erg... So we don't have these ones hammered out yet
TTTC with PCOS & MTHFR since '06 : Me - 30DH - 31
Metformin 1500mg, 600mg CoQ10, 1 PNV, 2000iu Vit D, 81mg Aspirin, 2 Folic Acid per
day
We've had our names picked out since before we got married...
Girl:
Vivian Kate (almost 100% sure we will use this one if we have a girl)
Katharina Elena
Natasha Lauren
If we had twin girls, it'd be Vivian Kate (or Sophia) depending on if we used Katharina or Natasha as the second name
Boy:
Sebastian Charles -- the ONLY name we 100% agree on, and we think some friends are using Sebastian for their boy due in February. DH flipped out when he heard. I told him we could use it anyway since they live out of town.
Beautiful Miracle Baby lost at 21 weeks due to pre-term labor and incompetent cervix. FET#1 BFN, FET#2 BFP, early loss. FET#3 BFN. IVF#2 BFFN. FET #4 BFP after removing bilateral hydrosalpinx and 3 months of lupron depot. Sticky Bun is here!!
Girl: Rhealina Kathleen (I made Rhealina (ray-lina) up...its a combo of a family name on my side (Rhea) and my mother-in-law's name (Lina). I know its pretty different, but I fell in love with it and it has meaning)
Both of my names are kind of weird, but my husband's from Russia and it was impossible trying to find names we both like.
Oh, don't feel wierd, I had mine picked out way before I even TTC! Mine are both common names but spelt different for special reasons...plus, we have a very short, common last name so we can get a little creative with the first names.
Girl: Haley Eileen...my mom's name is Maley (VERY unique) and she's my best friend in the whole world. Replaced with an "H" because that's what my madien name starts with. So I'd please both sides of the family. Always a good thing! Eileen is my DH's grandmother's name. She is an amazing woman and I think it goes well together.
Boy: Rian Michael...my DH's name is Brian. He actually suggested this one because he doesn't like "Jr.'s" but liked this idea. He thought I'd never go for it, and was overjoyed when I told him I liked it too. Michael is my brother's name who's battling cancer right now...it would mean SO much to him and I just love that name because of him!
