Had my first appt with papsmear and spotting?

The Dr. told me it is totally normal to spot during pregnancy and especially after a papsmear, but of course its freaking me out. She said to call them if I start to soak pads only, which I am not.

I had my first u/s on Monday evening and she did the papsmear at the same time, everything with the baby looked great. Tuesday morning I woke up to the weirdest discharge, it was like light grey and tiny bits of grey tissue were in it. What the heck is that???

Then last night I noticed a small blob of very sticky CM, and this morning I woke up to brown spotting, and I've had it for the last 3 hours. I am also having a bit of cervical cramping.

Does this sound normal? Thank you!

    I had a pap and ultrasound on Monday and my OB said I might spot afterwards.  I had some dark brown spotting that evening and the next morning there was some bright red spotting, but it didn't last at all - I didn't even need a panytliner.  I didn't experience anything grey though... so I'm not sure.

    First Son - born 2013
    Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV).  First open heart surgery at 5 days old.  He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing.
    Third Son - due June 9, 2018

    I had the very same experience (even down to the fact that it was a little bit grey). You should be totally fine. But if it's still freaking you out, how about you call an advice nurse? It's not worth it getting worried sick over so a call might help to calm the nerves.

    I had a PAP at my last appointment (I was 8 weeks some-odd days), and I had bright red bleeding immediately afterwards, and then some brownish blood after it had stopped bleeding and was...working its way out? I was told it was normal and have been fine since.
