Cream for a yeast diaper rash?

I remember someone posting a while back about a cream for a yeast diaper rash. for the life of me I can't remember. My doc told me lotrimin, but I can't seem to find anything but the stuff for jock itch & athletes foot.

Our doctor told us to use clotrimazole cream (I think 1%) that you can get over the counter. It worked well, but turns out Lily had ammonia burn not yeast infection. Either way, it worked.

ETA: We got one meant for vaginal yeast infections, but I believe it's basically the same thing as the athlete's foot stuff.

As long as it clotrimazole Lotrimin it should work, regardless if it says jock itch or athletes foot. They all have the same active ingredient.

Don't get the Ultra that uses butenafine hydrochloride.

Also, keep using it a bit after the rash disappears or it will come back.

You can use the foot cream, as long as it is the cream and not the spray. I used it on Gator when she had her yeast rash, and also baking soda baths and vinegar baths (I put one cup of vinegar or baking soda in her bath water....and did not use any soaps or lotions that would irritate it).

If you use cloth diapers, they have to be bleached and dried on high heat otherwise it will come back. I ended up bleaching and laying in the sun and then used disposables until we were don with the Lotrimin.

Pharmacist gave us Jock Itch cream. It seemed to do the trick.
