just a vent...
I work in middle school as a reading specialist (thank god not a regular classroom) and I am SO uncomfortable. Between waddling to get my students, peeing every class period, and the endless comments from staff and kids (although it's more endearing from the students), I am D-U-N, done! It is a plus that my DH teaches right down the hallway from me. He noticed a puddle in the hallway and came to my room to see if my water broke...very cute. So glad DH has been doing the entire bedtime routine with DS. Although, I wish I had energy to do those last minute things before baby and try to keep a clean house in case she arrives. Anyone else still working? How are you doing?
Re: still pregnant, still working...
scroll down...it's all a lot of us complain about!
But seriously, props to you teachers. I'd die.
I told my boss - didn't even ask!- that I'm working from home. but next week, I'm seriously going on maternity leave. i'll be 41 weeks! can't do it.
Still pregnant and still working too... I am due on Saturday, but my DR says... "yeah right"... so I'm sure I will be here next week too.... Unlike the teachers (MAJOR PROPS!!!) I just work at a desk... but I have to tell you... working at a desk and sitting ALL day isn't that great either!! Swollen feet/ankles, and now my butt falls asleep too!!!
Bright side to all of this............... the baby HAS to come soon, right????
Good luck to all of you!!!!!
I teach students with severe special needs so we have exercise balls in the classroom. I have been taking advantage and sitting on them whenever possible. I don't know how much more I can take though. Tomorrow is a teacher work day for parent teacher conferences and I will have nothing to do. I have been pretty much ready for a couple weeks now and I did my parent teacher conferences this week to be on the safe side. I am going to be so bored. I hope that if I haven't had the baby by the time of parent teacher conferences my principal will let me go home or not stay the whole time since mine are all done.
