Re: Brag day Wednesday! Oops!
Nate looks adorable!
DD hit the growth chart for height for the first time!
I bet that feels great!
I cried and the pediatrican hugged me!
One of the only things A talks about when asked what he does a preschool is a book called Pete the Cat. We sent money with B to buy some books from the book fair at school. When he came home, he immediately showed us the books he chose. One of them was Pete the Cat because he knew A would really like it.
Not only that, but he called A over and read the book with him twice. A was so happy and B was so proud of himself for thinking of his brother.
Most of the time it just saddens me how unaware he is of others interests and feelings, but then something like this happens and it is just that much sweeter.
Awww, birdie, that's so sweet!
DD1 has been doing awesome with staying dry at night. She's such a trooper about me waking her up to pee.
I've been really busy with working lately, with a big deadline at the end of the month. Last night while I was getting dinner ready, DD1 came to me and asked if she could sit on my lap. So we snuggled for a little while, and she kept telling me that she missed me. It just kind of hit home that she really does notice when I'm not as available for playing.
Lately she and DD2 have been pretending they are birds, and I am the mama bird. It's so funny because the three of us will go through spurts where all we do is "cheep" at each other.

We also went to his first private ST session and the SLP doesn't think he'll really benefit from one on one ST but suggested a group session that sounds like a social skills group with an emphasis on speech. It would be perfect. I hop ins. Will cover it!

My son just ate steak for dinner tonight with brussels sprouts. Steak... in chunks... not pureed... And, he didn't get his food stuck ONCE!!
This is HUGE.
Ok I just got a visual of that and it was just adorable. Yay!!
Forgot to pop in here yesterday!
DS#2 is doing amazing things. He is generally 1 step forward, 2 steps back when it comes to eating (and I think we're already on the backwards slide...ooopps...) but he ate a lot of new textures last week, including chewy/gummy and now I've got him to eat a vitamin!! yes!! I'm so thrilled. He eats terribly, so this is a huge step forward. He even ate a good part of a red pear (he is drawn to red fruits and veggies). I don't even normally buy red pears, but they looked nicer than the green ones at the store, so that is what I got and low and behold he took it out of my hand and went to town :-) He is also signing more/better and becoming more adventurous (wanting to get out of his stroller during walks).
DS#2 is out of school for Fall break. I have noticed a plus side in his behavior. He comes with me to work on his time off (I work at the local YMCA daycare) He is now able to control himself when someone upset him (HUGE!!!!!!!) We've been working with flash cards on colors and shapes and I can see him coming along in those areas.
