U/S today, not good

I went for a dating u/s this morning. Technically I'm 8w5d, and based on O date, I should definitely be at least 7 weeks. I got my BFP almost a month ago (Sept 19).

They said I wasn't measuring anywhere near that. It looked more like 4 weeks. There was a small gestational sac, but they couldn't detect a HB.

Sorry to hear this. Hope everything turns out ok. Not sure if this helps any but maybe you are 4 weeks. When I went in for my first u/s all I saw was a gestational sac and no heartbeat. When I went back a week and a half later, everything was normal, I even measured further along than expected over those few days( how could I go from 4 weeks to 7 weeks in 10 days?!?!?) There is hope! Fingers crossed!

I had a very similar experience and the outcome wasn't good. I hope your luck is more like PP and is better than mine. Whatever happens you'll get through it. You're stronger than you think. HUGS

You have to wait a WEEK for follow up?! I am so sorry you are going through this. Did they do bloodwork or anything? I just can't believe you have to wait a week.

The same thing happen to me with my first baby. They thought it might be a blighted ovum. They thought I was further along because of my blood levels, I was sure exactly when I conceived, I went back the next week and there was the heart beat. I had perfectly healthy baby. This could be bad news, but don't give up hope yet. Also all they saw was a sac on my US too, no baby, but she was there!

The same thing happened to me with this pregnancy. We went in at 7.5 weeks for u/s and found an empty sac. I was positive on my dates, so it didn't look good. Then, although my levels were rising they were far from doubling. This would have been blighted ovum #2, miscarriage #3 for me.

The nurse told me over the phone that I was likely about to miscarry and to come in in a week if it hadn't started on it's own. So I went in to discuss scheduling the D&C with my doc and....she found a heartbeat! I was flabbergasted. She dated me 6.5 weeks but when I went back in a week later, jumped me a week and a half ahead. There was something screwy with my dates, or maybe baby just started off really slowly, but all is well now.
