We've been very private about our adoption plans with most of the people in our lives. With the baby we are matched with due in three weeks, we decided to start sharing a little bit more. It's scary for me to put it out there for fear of a failed adoption and then having to un-tell, but we also agreed that we'd need support if that does happen. Soo, tonight I told a bunch of my neighbors at our monthly get together. My MIL and SIL were there (they live down the street) and I have to say it was a lot of fun to talk about it finally with more than just my immediate friends and family. It was fun to see my MIL excited talking about it too. Everyone was so supportive and really excited for us, and willing to help in so many ways.
Another fun part about today...we found out the sex of the baby! It's a girl! I'm still not buying a ton of stuff, but its hard to not get excited for all things pink!!!
