I am being totally self-centered

ETA: No real reason for this post other than venting.

We were involved in an accident on Sunday. Only slightly.  The real accident occurred behind us and involved a car and a motorcycle. The car clipped the motorcycle and he went sliding. His bike slid into the back of my car, but since we were already moving forward it just gave us a slight push. It felt like hydroplaning. No real impact though.

Of course the motorcyclist was really injured. Compound fracture to his wrist and lots of scrapes and cuts, but all things considered, he was really lucky. The idiot wasn't wearing a helmet.  

So today I am supposed to go have my car inspected for any damage that can't be seen by the naked eye. I really can only see one good scratch. I am annoyed that I have to go do this. I should be thankful that I didn't witness this guy get killed and instead I am annoyed (and procrastinating) that I have to take E to the shop and try to entertain her while my car gets inspected. I am a selfish bish.

    I am sorry about the accident, but so glad you guys are ok.

    They should be able to come to you if you ask them to.

    I think it is OK to feel that way. With all of us overwhelmed at all of the work required to raise an LO adding an extra task to do is not fun at all. I get all sorts of cranky lately when things do not go perfectly because I am just tired and do not want to add more to my already crappy schedule. 

    I am glad the guy on the motorcycle is relatively OK and I hope the car inspection goes quickly so you can get it done and be out of there right away. Good luck!
