You ain't got no alibi.
Tell me a name or a few that you think are ugly...I'm talking every time you hear it, you think, "Why?!"
Oh and if someone happens to list your name, don't get too offended. I mean, you guys can hate Amanda...IDGAF. I hate it too.
I'm sitting again today, so entertain me.
And no one say La.dashsign.a/Ladasha. Obviously, anyone not on meth would think that's terrible.

I loathe all of the aiden, braden, etc names.

Many of the NFL football players have terrible names....
Sorry! It's not that there is anything wrong with it, it's just not my style. But I'm sure there are MANY people who think Gunnar (my 3 year old's name) is very redneck- and I'm one of them
Hortense
Olga
Gordon
Abner
Jedediah
Any normal name + "de," "le" or "la," like Sean = Desean or Michael = Lamichael. Really? Just name your kid Sean or Michael.
Anything ending in "aden"...Braden, Jaden, Caden
Same for "aley" and the like...Haley, Kaley, Bailey
Taylor. It's too girly now for boys but it's still too boyish to really fit girls. Can we just keep it as a last name?
Miley. No, just no.
Persephone. Do your research, people, and do NOT name your child Persephone! This is more common than it should be. Same for Lillith.
Evelyn. Unless your daughter is born with white hair, polyester pants and a plate of cookies, there's no reason she should be named Evelyn. Ever.
Names that aren't the common spelling (like the go-to spelling that first pops in people's minds)...like Emmalee, Madyson, Erik, Jakob, Ashlee...as someone whose name is always misspelled and will always be misspelled, have mercy on your children, please. Do you know how irritating it is to have to spell it out and still have to correct people after I've spelled it out? I prefer the way Jaime is spelled over Jamie, especially since it changes the meaning, but it's still annoying to have to constantly correct people. Have mercy.
I really dislike Braxton mostly due to Braxton Hicks.
I really don't understand unique spellings of common names. What is the point? LynZee still sounds just like Lindsay. If you really want to be different pick an old name or one that isn't common. We wanted something unique so we looked at our family trees and now we have our little Wilhelmina.
This was my husband's top pick for Gunnar... which is why he is Gunnar- it was the ONLY name he could come up with that I though wasn't terrible... The other names he liked were Rock, and Jager.. Seriously.

How random. Evelyn is a fantastic name! I think it's timeless.
CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
Bronx.
Tallulah.
Jasper.
These have all come up on my Facebook in the last month or two.
Example: Carson Kennedy, Violet Mauve
Yes these are real people.
Also: kids named after characters from movies or books
Girls with boy names. I don't think girls should be called Ryan, Alex, Charlie. Leave those for boys.
Any name that is made up and nobody can tell what flavor of baby it is.
Gender ambiguous names, even if they aren't made up. Although, I never thought my daughter's name was gender ambiguous and apparently it is
.
Lexus, Bentley, Mercedes, etc (car names as first names, just can't stand them)
McKayla and any spelling variation of that name (just NMS)

DS #1 Born: 10/03/06, DS #2 Born: 08/06/12 My Cooking Blog
Girls names: Bailey, Jessica, Logan
Boys names: Jesse, Damien, Michael, Bailey
I have personal reasons why I don't like the names, normally names don't bother me...but these names remind me of people in my life whom are no longer in my life for a reason.
I would never name my child after a fruit/veggie (apple) or an inanimate object (Blanket)
DD Born August 16, 2012
Ha! Reminds me of commander Riker. Nice guy, decent first officer, terrible beard. JeanLuc, on the other hand... sexygrowl make it so.
Haha, I just named my little girl Evelyn! I've heard this before, though. And I've heard others name their babies names I think are old-ladyish but they think are pretty.
I actually first liked the name because of the movie "Pearl Harbor"...that's the woman protagonist's name, and I guess her portrayal made it seem sweet and beautiful to me.
Oh, and "The Mummy," the chick in that was named Evelyn, called Evie (we call our little one Evie.)
I don't like Kiley, Keisha, Keely...I guess I don't like K names
Lennon Jagger.
We get it, you like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
Plus, Lennon just sounds like lemon to me. YICK.
For girls: Judy, Paula, Nancy (I'm talking for LITTLE girls...I saw a 2 year old named Nancy and it was just creepy)
For boys: Gordon, Lawrence, Douglas
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

My IF blog
I hate most names, that's why it took us forever to pick a name for DS, and even now I'm not thrilled with it. His middle name is after my late grandfather and I go back and forth all the time if I like it or not. I also hate most ethnic names. I vetoed almost every name my DH suggested, common and classic or out there and unique. I don't really like our first names either. Guess I'm a name snob.
Examples of names I would puke over:
Tiffany, Brittany, Amanda, Jennifer, Christopher, Timothy, Gregory, Craig, Bertha, Thelma, Janice, Janet, Melvin, Martin, the list goes on and on...
my first thought, too. Number One!
I don't mind Aiden because its a nice biblical name.. its just so overused now. I don't like jayden, laden, whatevs. Alexandra, alexis, anything like that,I just don't,like. There's more but,I can't think.
