I Have A Rainbow Baby! ~*~Birth Story~*~

Hi ladies! I hope everyone is well! First, I want to thank you all for all of the support you've always given, and a special thank you for your thoughts this week. I read them all, and appreciate every one. I love you ladies!
Short story: Ella arrived by non-quite-emergency c-section on Wednesday October 10th at 7:52 am. 6lb 2oz and 18 inches, she sports a ton of strawberry blonde hair, and is the light of my life. Baby Ella was named after two great great grandmas (one on each side), and her middle name was my Mama's first name. We are both home now, and doing great!
Long story: I was sent to the hospital on Tuesday after my BP was high at my appointment yet again. Although my BP came down nicely while laying down, it would spike whenever I got up, and I had actually seen stars when I first arrived in triage. Thus, my OB decided to keep me overnight. Everything went really well, with ToT/Ella looking great until about 4:30am, when her heartrate decelled to about 80, and didn't come up for about 15 minutes and with help. At that point, OB said she really thought she would be better on the outside.
Hoping to still have a vaginal birth, we checked my cervix, but I was less than a fingertip, and we worried that waiting through a long induction may have been dangerous for ToT, not to mention putting her under the stress of labor. So, I made the very parental decision to put her health over my emotional wants, and agreed to a c-section.
Of course, 45 minutes before the c-section, I had a little hope for a v-birth again because my water broke on its own! But alas, I had not progressed any further, so I went ahead with the c-section.
The c-section went beautifully, and my baby Ella arrived happy and healthy at 7:52 am on October 10th. She was 6lb 2oz and 18 inches, and had a ton of strawberry blonde hair (DH is a ginger). The nurses and doctors love her hair, and many I hadn't met came by just to check it out. (Sorry, proud Mama moment.)
We're both home and doing well now, although Ella is down to 5lb 8oz. But, she breatfeeds like a champ, and is getting just a little formula for the next week to help her bulk up. I'm so happy, proud, and, of course, exhausted, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
I can't post any pics from my ipad right this moment, but I will get to the computer tonight or tomorrow!

BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!
***BFP 1-22-13, baby boy dx with Trisomy 13 at 15 weeks.
We let him go to Heaven on 4-27-13 at 17 weeks 1 day***
