Short scrunched umbilical cord?

Well today i had an appointment to go over my anatomy scan, The doc said baby was doing good and was healty, the only problem he saw was that the umbilical cord was short, and not strait (more scrunched up). He said it was nothing to worrie about but he was still going to have me do an ultrasound every appointment to make sure. I asked if he was sure it was fine and he assured me it was, but if everything was normal why would he want me to go have all these ultrasounds. Idk but im freaking my self out abit :( have any of you ever experienced anything like this??

    I have heard of a short cord, they generally would just have to cut it before baby can be laid on your chest. Not sure about the scrunching. Keep us posted. Best of luck to you !

    A short cord can prevent your baby from dropping into the birth canal during labor.  A c-section would be needed if the doc thinks it is too short.

    This. Happened to me, except we had no idea until the time of delivery when the baby was showing distress. Had a C section and everything turned out fine. Its good that you know now and can keep an eye on it and know what to possibly expect.

    I friend of mine had a breech baby so she needed a scheduled c section. They tried a version that didnt work. The doctor guessed after the c section that she wouldn't turn because the cord was too short but they didn't know about it beforehand.
