There's no way I could hang on to this one until Wednesday.
I walked into Chris's room this morning to start getting him ready for school. I said good morning but didn't move to help him up onto the changer. I was going through his drawers looking for an outfit for him for today. I was essentially ignoring him. Not deliberately but you get the idea. So I'm going through shirts and suddenly I hear "mommy". I stopped and I hear "mommy" again. I turn around and he's just looking at me expectantly.
He was trying to get my attention and he called me by my "name".
This is the first time he's done that. He knows who "mommy" is if you ask him to point to me or ask him who I am but he doesn't call people. Like he won't say "Mommy, I want snack". He'll just walk up to me and say "I want snack".
I know it's just one word - that he's used before - but that he used it to get my attention is kind of a big deal. So had to share. Happy Friday!
Re: "Mommy"
GO Chris! Mommy, of course you can not wait till Wednesday. This is huge! I can't wait when I hear that from DS.

That is so awesome!!!
Earlier in the week, I left the room and apparently DS#2 called out, "mama". I don't even care that I didn't hear it. I'm just glad he said it!!
