Our daughter is almost 9 months and developed a rash about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks ago. She really never had a problem with diaper rash before. Our Our Ped said it was a yeast rash so gave us Nystatin to treat it. It seemed to get better but then got bad again about 5 days later. We were told about Flander's Butt Paste by our pharmacist so tried that over this past week. That seemed to help but it seems that when she goes to daycare (Tue-Thu each week) it gets bad again by the third day. The sheets they fill out each day say they are changing her every 2 hours or so and when I pick her up her diaper is not very wet so do believe they are really changing her as the sheet says. I talked to them this morning and asked if they would try changing her more often to see if it helps. When I pick her up today I am going to ask what they use to clean the changing table after each time as that is the only other thing I can think of. We have also tried Hydrocortizone and her regular Desitin that she has used since she was born. Nothing seems to help! Oh, and no new foods really so don't think it is allergy. The fact that is is only on her V and not on her bottom makes me think it's still a yeast rash so made an appointment for her Ped to see her again tomorrow. Possibly a different cream will help? Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions...... thanks!

Re: Diaper Rash just won't seem to go away?
I thought about changing diapers as well but since we have used the same brand since she was born didn't think that would be it. However, we did recently change her overnight diaper to Luvs so possibly that could be it?! Thank you for the advice!
Olivia has never had a long-lasting rash like you described but I swear by Boudreau Butt Paste. Any time she's even a little red I put it on and by the next diaper change her skin is back to normal.
She developed a really red, angry looking rash when I tried Luvs diapers and again with Huggies wipes. Now I use Up&Up free diapers and wipes, no issues at all.
Proud mother of two breech babies:)
DESTIN DIAPER CREAM!
That stuff is amazing.
I agree with some PPs- change the diapers AND wipes ....as well, as think about food allergies and yeast infections.
We've used Earth's Best diapers and Earth's Best Sensitive wipes and haven't had a single diaper rash in 6 mo. The diapers are pretty soft- not card-board-y like some other eco brands and I've never had a problem with leaks. You can buy them at BRU or online at Amazon or diapers.com
Good luck- hope LOs bumm is better soon!
I agree ..check the wipes and see what they are using.
I switched to target brand diapers and huggies simple and clean wipes (no alcohol and no fragrance). This seemed to help a lot.
