How much did you spend on your wedding dress (including alterations) and would you spend that money again?
I spent $1200 total and I look back and am glad I didn't spend a penny more even though I wanted one that was $5K but I just couldn't do it and I'm glad I didn't!
Re: How much $ did you spend on your wedding dress?
About $450. I would have spent a little more but we were on a tight budget. Plus, for something that's going to be worn once, I couldn't justify spending big $$.
Oh, and yes. I'd spend that much again....plus some more (maybe upto a$1000-1500K)!
First wedding: $800, new
Second wedding: $200, pre-owned/consignment
$40. But I got married in a gauzy, white sundress, out in the Black Hills in SD, overlooking a small canyon at sunset. It rocked.
$395.
The dress (a plain, un beaded, un-sparkled mermaid silhouette) was actually a bridesmaid dress. I ordered it in "candlelight" instead of a color. I got the idea from a "bride on a budget" article I read. Would buy the same dress again.

I don't regret my dress but I do think I spent too much on it. It was simple and perfect for me, but I think it was over priced.
I spent $950 I think and the only reason I spent that much was because I used my grandma's inheritance money to buy it. If I hadn't had that money at my disposal I would have gone for something around $500.
I did love my dress though, so I'm glad I spent what I did!

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
About $450 including alterations and a (very simple) veil.
I loved it; I felt beautiful and sophisticated.

$1100, no alterations needed.
I would not spend that much if I could do it again. The dress was gorgeous but I tried on other gorgeous dresses for a lot less $.
$200
I bought it second hand and it was a great decision. No regrets.
$5K, including muslin, veil, customization, shoes, and preservation. It's silk, sunburst pleated French net, and handmade lace. A bargain, if you ask me.
I don't regret a cent of it. It was one of the first purchases we made, and due to that expense, we cut costs elsewhere (brunch wedding, cheap champagne mimosas only, smaller guest list). My gown and flowers were the most important expenses to me.
I always say that nobody's grandma has a picture of the buffet on her mantle.
