So, there are a bunch of people posting today that I've never seen. Ever. I have no idea who any of you are...you must be just coming out of lurking? Or a hiatus? Anyways, introduce yourselves here, so that we can all get to know you. We're a close group of ladies...it makes me feel weird not knowing anything about the OP when I'm reading a post!
Some intro questions you can answer:
Where are you from? How old are you? How many kids do you have? Birth experience...shortened version? Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.?
Oh and if you just came on to post one thing and you're going to be lurking or not on for the next month or five, move on along.

I'm legit. Haven't been here since August. Didn't lurk in-between and not lurking now.
Where are you from? CA
How old are you? Early 30s
How many kids do you have? 2
Birth experience...shortened version? They waited too long to give me the epidural so I got it at the end of my labor and might as well have gone natural.
Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? Just came back to work yesterday. EFF. EBF'd for a week then felt I needed to stop.

Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? im a nurse, work 3 12 hr shifts. I EBF, tried formula to supplemet because I was feeling overwhelmed, but apparently DS is sensitive to milk & soy - so EBF it is
In the "How well do you know us" post where my sn was featured, most posters knew nothing about me so I'll play too.
I am from western NY, 33 years old, 2 kids.
With DD, my water broke in the am and I vaginally delivered in the pm.
SAHM and EBF.
I am from Cincinnati but moved to Northern Kentucky about 3 years ago. I am 25 and have been married for a year and a half. I have one son and he was born on Aug 24th. My sons name is Jayce and he is amazing. I work at a hotel in downtown Cincinnati and my first day back is Monday.
I am EFF and am experiencing some guilt about it since I was planning on bfing but after 28 hrs of labor I couldn't get enough energy to do so and it just continued on from there.
That is all I can really think of at the moment but let me know if you want to know anything else.
Not going to lie I was wondering too.
I post on and off... I come and go in spurts I guess. Not sure if I'm a lurker but here goes

Thanks AB4!
I've been lurking since last February but I've only recently started posting. I love this board so much more than the others...you ladies are so friendly!
Liam was a surprise baby. I forgot to renew my birth control for the month of November last year, and I got pregnant immediately from one time. We both work retail and barely see each other during the holidays, so when I told my SO, he kept repeating..."When did we have sex?"
Where are you from? Illinois, suburbs of Chicago.
How old are you? 28
How many kids do you have? 1
Birth experience...shortened version? I went 5 days past my due date and was induced. I labored all day long on increasing doses of Pitocin. Due to my previous 2 LEEPs, I never progressed past 3 cm, so I had a c-section.
Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? I go back to work next Monday.
I work 10 hour days. It sucks and I don't want to go back. I do a mixture of FF and BF. It's about 50/50. I wish I could have EBF, but my milk didn't come in for like a week after I had him, so I had to supplement.

I recognize you. I'm pretty sure we are FB friends.
Hi. Busted! I just found this board, I was hanging out on the 0-3 mo, but this has been more informative.
I'm Heather, just had my first baby on August 4, a little boy named Miles. Normal labor experience I suppose. Epidural for me. I work, returning in 2 weeks, which will be tough but I am looking forward to going back and being surrounded by people again. I'm 35yo. Married for 7 years. Hoping we will be lucky enough for baby 2 in the next 18 mos, but I need a break for my body!
Nice to meet you ladies!
I've posted on here before and am trying to make a conscience effort to be more involved in post. Although, AB4 you scared me lil with that post!
Where are you from? I am from Wheeling, WV. We are about 50 min away from Pittsburgh PA
How old are you? 30
How many kids do you have? 1...and done!
Birth experience...shortened version? labored 25 hrs c-section due to failed induction.
Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? I work for the WIC (Women Infants and Children) Program. I am the outreach coordinator. I just went back to yesterday. We EFF.
Yup we are, I think the "How well" post my sn was in happened about 2 weeks ago.
I've been posting here and there for a few months and have been around since I found out I was pregnant.
I'm from Long Island, NY. I'm 25. DH and I were married in December 2011. I found out I was pregnant exactly a week after returning from my honeymoon. We got pregnant on our first try and, to this day, I cannot believe our luck. I am the proud mama of 1 little boy, born on August 29, 2012, three days after my EDD and 5 days after moving into our new home. I went into labor naturally at home, planned to go natural but ended up having the epidural because my hospital's policy is to have mothers on monitors and in bed. I could not take that pain only sitting in that one position all day! All the pain returned during pushing and Killian Stephen was born at 8:58pm after 19 hours of labor.
I am still on maternity leave and will be until Thanksgiving. I worked full time my whole pregnancy and although I do not want to go back at all, I will probably be working 4 days a week when I return. I EBF and am not looking forward to pumping all day when I go back to work. We will see how well that goes.
Who is this referring to?! Gahhhh am I still in "strange lurker" status?! I worked so hard to get outta there!
Oh...wait nevermind I didn't post today.
I'm from western PA.
I'm 26.
I have 2 babies now. DD is 21 months and DS is 9 weeks.
I delivered DS on his due date after 12 hours of labor medfree. It wasn't too bad until it was...then I was begging my H, the nurse, god, and anyone else in the 5 mile radius thst could surely hear my gutteral screams for an epidural. It was too late and he tore his way out. That might have been the not so short version.
I'm a neurotrauma RN and I SAH Monday through Friday. I EBF and am currently freaking out about going back to work since DS hates the bottle. Just ordered that momma bottle OP referenced today.
Also, I'm always mobile so my punctuation sucks.
I've been lurking since the beginning, but I do post occasionally.
Where are you from? Indiana
How old are you? 27
How many kids do you have? 2 girls
Birth experience...shortened version? I've had two natural births. DD2 was 9lbs 3oz and her birth was a little intense. Meconium in the fluid, Shoulder dystocia and she came out with her head turned to one side (ouch)! She was completely healthy though. I did just post her birth story on the Birth Story board.
Do you SAHM, work? DH and I both work from home for a software company. I do customer support and work part time. It's a great job and I'm lucky to have it! The worst part is that people assume when you work from home you can keep your kids with you and that they can just stop by at any time of the day. I can't watch my kids, work and entertain. It's a real job, my kids have to go to daycare, and I can't have company in the middle of my work day.
EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? I EBF. When maternity leave is over I will have to pump some.

Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? I was working, just quit my job and changed my status to per diem. I BF'ed for almost 4 weeks and quit due to being unable to maintain my dairy/soy free diet. So ds is now on Alimentum.

Do you...? SAHM, just stopped BF and went to FF this week. Still feeling guilty and sad about it.
I am mostly a lurker because my iPad won't let me respond to posts or create new posts. Currently waiting for the bluetooth keyboard to arrive in the mail...online shopping is so addicting!
i figured i better respond because i am REALLLLLY trying to make more of an effort to use the laptop to become more active on the board since all of the ladies on here seem so great to talk to! once the iPad keyboard gets here, i will for sure be posting more!
i am 30, have 2 babies: Ava who is 20 months and Stella who is 2 months. Married for 5 years, we've been together a total of 8. Live in Metro Detroit. I am a Landscape Designer for a well-known company in the area. Went to Michigan State so i am a die hard Spartan.
both of my girls were born vaginally, with an epidural. my first labor was a lot easier and i didn't push for very long. second labor was painful as the epidural wore off. delivered at the same hospital, same doctor, actually had 3 of the same nurses both times. both were great experiences and i kind of wish we were going to have another baby just because it was great! we were team green both times and the surprise in the delivery room was the best! i recommend it to everyone! pretty sure we are done with 2. wanted to have a boy but we don't want to be in the "baby phase" forever. that is why we had our girls so close.
i go back to work on Monday for a training in the evening and back to my regular schedule on Tuesday. I work Tue-Thur and some Saturdays. I BF while at home but always supplemented a bottle or 2 of formula a day to make sure that Stella could/would eat it if she absolutely had to. will switch to FF with 1-2 bottles of breastmilk a day until my freezer stash is gone. hoping i can make it so i can at least BF in the morning and in the evening, because i do love that time with my LO.
My mom's side is from near Wheeling :
Did a planned induction. I work full time, and I EBF while on leave. Now that I'm back to work I pump and them BF when home. Lucky we haven't had to supplement yet.
I didn't want kids, and DH and I almost didn't get married because of it. I love DD though and am glad we had her. However, I think one is enough for me, and luckily my husband is okay with that.
I used to lurk but have tried to start posting more so I'll join in!
Where are you from? Near Pittsburgh, PA
How old are you? I am 26
How many kids do you have? 1 son
Birth experience...shortened version? I was induced...11 hours of pain free labor (don't hate...it was thanks to a good epidural) the pain free went down the toilet when it came to pushing and I felt everything...thank God I only had to push for 30 minutes.
Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? I am a Director at a learning center and I EFF
I feel bad that I have been a lurker, but begun to post recently.
Where are you from? Bay Area
How old are you? 31
How many kids do you have? 1
Birth experience...shortened version? Tried to go med free, but baby rotated so that he was facing the wrong direction. After experiencing the joy of back labor I opted for an epi. Towards the end an emergency c-section was almost needed, due to heart rate deceleration issues...all in all it was pretty scary. Fortunately, he is a happy and healthy eight week old now.
Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? I really enjoy my job (stock analyst), but I am worried about managing a 50-60+ hr work week. I plan on giving it a couple month try and then evaluating if it is possible for me to do or if I need to be a SAHM for a few years.
I have extremely inverted nipples and have been EPing.
New to bump this week, so checking our boards of interest.

Birth experience...shortened version? With DD is was 8 hours from first contraction to delivery, 6 cm when I got to the hospital, got epi, delivered 2 hours later. With DS it was 6 hours start to finish, got to the hospital at 6 cm, delivered an hour later with an epi. No tearing with either and left the hospital in less then 24 hours with both.
Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? SAHM, EBF #1 til 13 months and plan to EBF #2 until at least a year unless something happens.

Birth experience...shortened version? Went into labor day before my due date on my last scheduled day of work, went to hospital before I really needed to out of fear of having a baby on the highway during rush hour, decided I wanted an epidural but the nurse anesthetist forgot to plug the catheter into the machine so nothing happened, pushed a few times, had a beautiful baby.
Do you SAHM, work, EBF, EFF, EP, etc.? EBF- much easier the second time! I go back to work on Monday and am dreading it... I love my job, but will miss my girls! Thankfully, my mom watches them so it'sa little easier.
