CD moms: too early to have a favorite?

I know I can post this over on the CD board but it seems like there are quite a few moms on here who CD, and I know you guys better

I've been cd'ing since we brought our daughter home from the hospital and now that she is bigger, I have been using all the diapers in her stash (not just the NB sizes). I have definitely found my favorite and want to sell all the others to get more of my faves...but is it too early for me to have a fave? Will I change my mind once she is bigger/older?

I've been contemplating CD'ing...I've looked into the trial at Jillian's Drawers. My SO is absolutely dead set against it, but my mom will be the one watching him and she's game enough to try it out. How did you get started and what diapers are emerging as your favorites? And how many do you have? (sorry for all the questions....I really want to do this!)

I've only been CDing for 3 weeks and I already have favorites and dislikes. I think as long as she can grow with your favorite dipe you'll be fine.

If they're OS diapers, I'd probably hang on to them just in case there's a different fit when your LO gets older.

DD is the 3rd baby I have CD'd. I have definitely had my favorites, but some that I loved with one child just didn't work so great with another. That is just something to keep in mind if you plan on more kids in the future. I generally use prefolds with thirsties covers during the day (although DH always goes for pockets or AIOs) and Bum Genius 3.0 pockets for overnights. I've tried a lot of diapers and just last week finally parted with part of my stash when the local CD store was having a consignment sale.

I would hold on to them a little longer. You never know what will work best when lo starts to sttn, chunk out or start crawling.

We only have bum genius 4.0's and we love them! I say do what you think is right for you.

Thanks ladies. For her NB stage we used prefolds, fitteds, pockets and all in ones. Pockets were my fave because i could stuff them with extra inserts for naps and night sleep.

Now that she is bigger, I have a collection of diff brands of pockets and my fave is the fuzzibunz. They actually fit her from birth and are the trimmest of the bunch and we've never had any leaks with them, even when she gave us a week of eight hour night stretches.

To the pp about where to start, I will say I like pockets best because we have a crappy dryer and they only take one cycle to dry completely whereas my fitteds, prefolds, and all in ones take two to three dry cycles.
