1. At 6 months, Jack doesn't hold his own bottle yet. He hasn't figured it out, although he stuffs all kinds of toys and teethers in his mouth just fine and opens for spoons of food and everything.
2. He doesn't roll from belly to back. He does back to belly ALL the time, but only once from belly to back, and that was like 2 months ago. He can push up on his arms and everything-- but he doesn't roll onto his back.
He can sit, if that means anything (although he does topple over if he leans too far, LOL)
Should I be worried? Did you face something similar?
Re: worried about 2 milestones
My DD's 10 mos and still doesn't hold her bottle. She is too busy holding toys/blankets/picking at my face, etc.
Your kid sounds perfectly normal.
The 2 items you mentioned are not milestones.
Your dc sounds normal.
YOur baby sounds just fine!
Some babies never hold their own bottle and I actually prefer that because its easier to take it away and introduce sippy. We actually did introduce sippy at that age and she loves it. We only put water or tea (unswetened) and she likes it. When she gets on whole milk we will put her milk there then.
Also, the rolling is so not a big deal. Some kids have more motor skills and others more verbal skills.
No, you shouldn't be worried. Why would he want to hold his own bottle when he has a flunky (you) to do it for him? :-)
My DD didn't roll until she was eight months old. It isn't a race. He'll do it when he's ready. It's good that you're keeping an eye on his development, but, at this point, it doesn't sound like you have any reason to be concerned.
No need to worry...
DS is almost 9 months and rarely holds his own bottle (he does very well with a sippy though). He didn't roll until 7 months, and now that he's trying to learn other milestones he's forgotten how to roll.
He's fine.
Scarlett can hold a bottle and roll, but she can't sit unassisted and she won't bear weight on her legs.
It's all give and take with milestones and it'll work out in the end.
Bloggin' It
ds doesn't hold his bottle at 10 months and i don't really care (maybe i should).
as for rolling, i mean all babies eventually roll...or they just start crawling/walking. ds crawled for 2 weeks and then got up and walked. all babies are different
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

My IF blog
WOW!! maybe I should be concerned. After reading your post my DS is having the same issues. He does not hold the bottle, however stuffs everything else into his mouth.
He rolls from Belly to Back but NOT from Back to Belly (opposite of your DS). He sits on his own but does topple over.
PS.. I love your christmas pic. SOOOOOO cute!!!
