DD"s teacher must tell them "My watch says it's time for......." b/c she will hold her arm up and tell me that her watch says it's time for whatever she wants to do. I was thinking about getting her a watch as part of her Christmas, but need recs for one that would be small enough for her wrist. Ideally it would be one of the watches that has hands but also talks to tell her the time, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if it doesn't talk. Thanks, Ladies!
Re: Toddler watch?
My DD asked for a watch as her sticker chart reward recently b/c a little girl she idolizes at daycare apparently has one...I also wanted hands and got her the one I linked below, I have to say it is pretty cute. She always will look at it and say "it's time for XXX" (whatever it is time for). The strap is kinda long (she's smallish for 3 but not really tinY) so it has to wrap around her wrist a little more than I'd like but it doesnt bother her at all & she loves that it is purple & pink and the little flower on the second hand...
It doesn't talk but has some stuff on it that will probably be helpful down the road when she can read & is learning to 'tell' time on a clock. That is, if by some miracle it is not lost by then. She lost it on day 2 of having it... i ordered a new one b/c I felt so badly about it since she just got it as a hard earned reward and of course the day after I ordered a new one we found it in the laundry. Now I have a backup for next time I guess.
