Being able to find a quote from either When Harry Met Sally or The Princess Bride to fit nearly any situation would qualify as nerdy, I think. Just today something came up where DH and I simultaneously busted out with "There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead."

DH also used to play MTG, but sold all of his cards a few years ago.

DH and I recently finished watching every Star Trek episode and movie ever made inckuding the cartoon one. It took months and was pretty awesome. (I love Captain Janeway!) We're now going thru the Dr. Who series.

DH and I met playing Diablo II online. We played video game music at our ceremony. He tells all his friends how well I can handle a shotgun in Halo.

Just today, he told me if we have a girl he wants to name it Cortana. Oh boy, lol.

I'm a major Harry Potter geek-- I'm on Pottermore (Ravenclaw spirit!). I'm also REALLY into biology and chemistry (I looooove to balance reactions). I like to do math without calculators. I also reeeeeeeally love word games and TETRIS.

In middle school/high school, I was all-state chorus, show chorus member, academic team co-captain, mathlete, national history day competitor, Science Olympiad champion (three gold medals), and an extemporaneous speaker in forensics. Please see posts with my mentions of bullying (that's a semi-joke).

DH is a comic book nerd, as well as a history and film buff. He's taking the test to be on Jeopardy later this month!

We both love watching documentaries more than going out to the movies. Have you seen the selection on Netflix? Tigers in the Snow?! Secrets of Ancient Egypt?! Yes, please.

We also both took Latin in high school and constantly talk mythology, Roman Empirical history, and word roots.

This entire thread is making me LOL, but I'm pretty sure I peed over this one!

I'm a major Star Wars and Lord of the Rings nerd. Also just a big reader in general - I have over 1000 books in my house. (We don't need wall art, we have bookshelves!) We quote things like Princess Bride on a regular basis. I can code HTML by hand and love making all my code look really pretty... even though no one will ever know except me, unless it's other nerds looking for ugly code.

DH is a golf nerd. And a math nerd. And an Excel nerd. He actually LIKES working on our budget cuz it means he can play with Excel.

My husband and I fell in love in high school choir and drama club. Yep. Now we're both choir directors/singers/music teachers. We put on the classical channel on XM and take turns playing "guess the composer".

When I've said that we're musicians in other posts, it probably sounds super cool, but we're the nerdy kind of musician!

We're both Engineers so that makes us nerds right off the bat. We have a room painted orange because we went to Virginia Tech and that will be the nursery. It makes it easy to be team green if everything is orange and maroon. DH joked we'd name the LO after the driver who either won the nascar sprint cup chase or Danica (the only female). Hopefully, just a severe running joke (it is). He loves organizing things and he'll clean if something is dirty and I can't see it (like the top of the fans or something). He's anal about organization. He's re-organized the kitchen so many times I can't tell you (between him moving in, me moving in after, and crap from the wedding). He's so about organizing his way I just let him do it and learn his new system.

We're both car nerds (I met him when I was in the car club). We go to lots of car races and we like to race too. I started racing before I met him. I autocross and he did more road race stuff. So now we like to do a bit of each others racing (although none for me since i'm pregnant). There's a 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo that sits in the garage which is his race car with a cage and all. But it's ok, I promised him years ago no matter what happened we'd keep his race car even if it had to sit for a year or two for financial reasons.

We're all nerds in one way or another.

This! We're totally into movie quotes in our house.

Not just movies, though. My husband wants naming rights if LO is a boy, because he wants to name it after his favorite super heroes.

Husband also has DD nights with his work pals. I love them all like brothers, so I put up with it.

Oh, and I personally am a huge library fan. I read probably 3 or 4 novels a week. Nerdz!

Well, DH is a Network Administrator. His hobbies are PC games, video games, magic, strategy board games, reading sic fi and fantasy, and watching anime.

I am now involved in most of these things by default. I'm pretty sure DH married me because of my ability to argue for hours over the original X-Men commercials.

That's it. Letting my nerdy freak flag fly!

I love computer games and I've pretty much played them all. That's how I met my husband! I also love anime and Korean music/dramas. Also my husband and I build our own computers for fun.

Edit: My husband also sucked me into all the SciFi shows... Stargate (all of them), Battlestar Galactica, The Guild, Firefly, etc.

I kind of love Dr. Who (totally watch it on your maternity leave! It is awesome - and so was Torchwood, although I didn't see the most recent season that was on Showtime so I can't comment on that one). In general I watch too much TV and movies, but I also read a ton and love crossword puzzles and board games. I'm also a big musical nerd. Norbert Leo Butz? Anyone? Anyone?

And I totally used to play Magic cards with my brother back in the day (although I never had any of my own, and he always gave me the crappy decks to play with).

Oh, I'm definitely the nerdy one. I love anime, read a bunch of web comics (XKCD anyone?) I'd rather watch a weird foreign film with subtitles than any domestic crap that's getting put out, I love watching old black and white films on AMC (FI hates it), I used to role play online with my friends, I read, write short fiction and poetry...

FI on the other hand is a man's man... bow hunting just started, so he's all ready to go out every morning and evening to shoot a deer (and/or bear), loves his crotch rocket, pours concrete for a living, chews tobacco, grew up in the woods (I can't picture him living in an urban setting, too many people), he thrives on bad action flicks... He is learning to code in Unity, but I don't count that, LoL...

I embarrassed him by out-shooting him on the .22 he got me a while ago (we were testing it, shot at the same target, I hit it twice, he missed), and I also whooped his butt on Guitar Hero.

MH is an engineer. He built an electric guitar which sounds cool, but he did it so he could test the effects of different wood types on the vibrations. In grad school he was known as the superpower nerd. He also really likes it when I use the chemical names for adhesives and start talking about glass deterioration.

I like to talk about glued and glass chemistry, especially deterioration. I get really excited when I find good examples of it, like when saw signs of it in our double glazed windows. I'm also a big HP and LOTR fan.

We only stopped because we moved and couldn't afford internet for a few months. By the time we could, an expansion had come out and we were wayyyy behind our raiding guild. Yep. We were in a raiding guild. Four nights a week. lol
