Hi! This is my first post on here. I am almost 27 weeks pregnant and have developed a blood clot in on of my superficial veins on my leg. My doctor told me there's nothing he can really do to treat it since I can't take any anti-inflammatory medicines. So I just put it up and use moist heat on it when I can. I would really appreciate recommendations and suggestions on any natural treatments or remedies that anyone knows of. I have just started looking myself and have not found too much yet. I also work 10 hour days on my feet at a retail store, so if anyone knows of some good support hose for pregnant women that would be great also. Thank you so much in advance for any help!!!
Re: Blood Clot treatment
You can look into the supplement Nattokinase. It's a fermented soy product that is all-natural and is believed by some to not only prevent clots, but to dissolve them as well. Here are some of the cautions though: https://www.natto-nattokinase.com/herbal-remedies/natto-nattokinase/nattokinase-cautions.
I learned about this supplement after a cat of mine went into congestive heart failure from an undiagnosed heart condition. He was given a few months to live, because cats with HCM will throw clots and die. I joined a holistic group and it was recommended my cat take a high dose of Nattokinase. That was almost 2 years ago and you wouldn't know he had ever been sick. He takes the recommended adult dose, and if it hasn't hurt him. Not sure if it's dissolved any clots, but he takes it in place of other blood-thinners and so far hasn't thrown any.
And yes I know a cat isn't the same as a person, but I just thought it was worth mentioning how I know about it :P
