blue hand and fingernails...help!

DS's baptism is tomorrow.  We made really cute Godparent gifts with his little handprint done in blue.  Well, of course, his hand is now stained the littlest bit blue and underneath his fingernails is bright blue!

What can I do to get rid of the color by tomorrow?!

Of course, I trimmed his nails the other day, so they are nice and short, so I don't know if that will work.  Any wise ideas, moms?  Also, he seems to have scratched his face at least 3 times in his sleep, he has 3 big scratch marks on his right cheek!  All of this before his big day tomorrow, where 1000 pictures will be taken!  LOL...HELP!  Tongue Tied

  • I would put him in the tub (if he likes it) and let him soak his hands for a while.  This should help, especially with the nails.  As for the scratches, they usually heal very quickly, put mittens on him tonight (again if he will tolerate it) and the scratches should be almost invisible tomorrow.  You may be able to see them with your eye, but I bet the camera lense won't pick them up.  Good Luck and God Bless your little one on his Christening.

  • I think nail polish remover might help get rid of ink. Just make sure to wash with soap and water immediately after.

  • i dye my hair a great shade of blue/teal. when i am done, i always have some on my body somewhere. i know a nice long hot/warm shower and a good scrub later it is gone. so i would try the long warm bath, and a little scrubbing, and you could hopefully at least get some of it off.
