I'm wondering if I am over controlling about this. My kids are not allowed to have any free access at all to the food in the house. They have to ask for any snack they have no matter how small. I could name, on any given day, exactly what either one of them have eaten...even snack at school.
Re: How closely do you monitor your kids food intake?
DS - December 2006
DD - December 2008
i always know what she's eaten in a day - but not because i'm keeping a log or trying to keep track or anything. i just happen to supply all the food to the day care and she also has to ask for food at home - and we eat dinner together, etc. and i know how much because i get back from day care what she didn't eat and again - i see it at home.
so i don't "monitor" anything - i just know. if that makes sense....
I don't know what DS eats everyday either. I feed him breakfast every morning before school, but his daycare provides lunches and snacks. I know that they get a serving of fruit and a serving of veggies at lunch, but I don't know if he ate it all.
